After securing another room win with Living/Dining, Michael and Carlene of The Block Glasshouse have appointed Ray White to sell their apartment. Matt White, the great-grandson of company founder Ray White, is Michael and Carlene’s marketing agent for the upcoming auction.“The show is really ramping up and we’ll commence marketing to prospective buyers this coming week. Michael and Carlene have won two consecutive rooms and we hope to see their success continue,” Mr White said.
Ray White auctioneer Haesley Cush will be putting Michael and Carlene’s unit under the hammer and says The Block attracts confident buyers.
“For active buyers in the Melbourne market, the most important thing to remember is that The Block is the most highly publicised auction in the country, and for that reason, has the most motivated vendors. “Michael and Carlene are accomplished renovators. Michael is an experienced tradesperson and he’s one of the most qualified contestants on this series of The Block.
“The purchasers of their apartment will be buying great value: firstly because they’re motivated to sell due to the nature of the show and secondly because this unit was renovated by arguably the most qualified tradesperson on the The Block.”
Mr Cush says the couple’s most recent win is the most critical of the series. “It’s long been said that kitchen’s are the jewel of every home, and Michael and Carlene smashed it out of the ballpark with the unveiling of their kitchen.”
Although Michael and Carlene’s unit is the second smallest in the complex, Mr Cush says it’s far from compact. “It’s the second smallest unit in a building that’s full of enormous units. If you look beyond the properties on The Block, this is a large, spacious home by anyone’s standards.”
For Michael and Carlene, their decision to sell with Ray White was one based on trust. “Having sold their Gold Coast property with Ray White in the past and being happy with the result achieved, Michael and Carlene decided to list with us again. We’re thrilled to be a part of The Block and look forward to the auction,” Mr Cush concludes.
