Yeerongpilly

Due to its close proximity to the Brisbane CBD and its position alongside the Brisbane River, Yeerongpilly has experienced very strong capital growth over the last few years. About nine kilometres from Brisbane’s CBD, Yeerongpilly, has recently undergone a makeover and caught up with other riverside suburbs in Brisbane in terms of property prices. As one of Brisbane’s river suburbs, Yeerongpilly is ideally situated and likely to attract buyers who want to secure attractive riverfront property. It is an area that is popular with families and professionals working in the CBD. Yeerongpilly also has easy access to major arterial roads, schools, shops and other necessary infrastructure.

Most of the housing in Yeerongpilly is older-style Queenslanders and workers’ cottages — quite a lot of renovation activity has occurred in the suburb in recent years, contributing to the rise in median house prices. Yeerongpilly is well located to many public and private amenities. The closest hospital is the Princess Alexandra Hospital at Woolloongabba and the neighbouring suburb of Yeronga has two primary schools and one high school. It is also close to the University of Queensland across the river at St Lucia — the City Cat and Green Bridge bus service at nearby Dutton Park connect students to the campus. Major shopping is at Fairfield Garden Shopping Centre off Fairfield Road and street shops are available at Yeronga.

Being nearby to West End gives the suburb a convenient restaurant area close by. There are plenty of parklands, bikeways and access to the river at Pamphlett Bridge at nearby Graceville. Also situated in Yeronga is the Brisbane Golf Club. A train station is located in the suburb and plenty of bus routes heading to the university and the city are available to residents.Source: REIQ
